Brochure Websites
Online brochure type websites that act as a starting point for companies seeking to enter the Internet arena, or for those companies which have more limited needs.
Brochure websites tend to cover basic information about your company, who your key people are, products and services etc. It might also include a map and directions if people need to find you. For the most part, brochure websites don't need to be updated regularly.
User-updatable website
A user-updateable website might have much the same information as a brochure website but would include an ability on your part to change some information.
This might be date and times of courses and events, new products or other information that may change on a weekly or monthly basis. A user-updatable website will use a form that you fill in and may have the ability to upload a picture as well. No programming knowledge would be required.
eCommerce
Business that have products or services that can be sold online will benefit from moving towards e-commerce websites.
However, this could be a gradual transition, starting with allowing existing customers book or order without having to submit payment details online. An option is to put an online quotation system in place if that's suitable for your business. The objective would be to move aspects of your business online in stages at a pace that suits you and your customers.
